Your coaches

Two people, one method, no handoffs.

You will know exactly who you're working with before you pay anything. Both of us are on your Blueprint Call, and the person who assesses fit is the person you'll work with.

Brian T. Jones

Brian T. Jones

Founder · Developed the F.E.R.N.S. Method

Brian is a licensed mental health counselor and certified clinical trauma professional who spent about a decade in couples therapy before writing this method down. In practice that means he has watched a few thousand versions of the fight you're having, and can usually tell which step you're stuck on before you finish describing it.

He built F.E.R.N.S. for couples who had already tried the worksheets and wanted something that met the real texture of their week. He has a background in philosophy, which shows up mostly as an unwillingness to let a vague word stand in for a real one.

He also runs a licensed clinical practice for couples in Delaware and Massachusetts, which is a separate business from this one — deliberately.

Coaching lead · Trained F.E.R.N.S. coach

Emily leads the coaching program and runs every Blueprint Call. She's trained in the method and has spent her career building and operating practices, which is why this program has an actual structure — a cadence, a sequence, a written practice — instead of a vibe and a calendar link.

She's the person who will tell you honestly if this isn't the right fit, and she'd rather do that on a free call than four weeks into a paid program.

She's also married to Brian, with two daughters and a small homestead, so the Tuesday-night version of all this is not theoretical for either of them.

Why a couple coaching couples

We are not neutral about this and we don't pretend to be.

Working with two coaches who are themselves a couple has one obvious advantage and one obvious risk, and we'd rather name both.

The advantage: neither of us is describing a hard conversation from the outside. We have run these steps on our own material, badly, on nights when nobody wanted to.

The risk: it would be easy to hold up our marriage as the model. We don't. The method isn't a description of how we live — it's a procedure that works whether or not your relationship looks anything like ours.
