Plain-English summary: we collect what you send us in the application and contact forms, plus standard website analytics and advertising cookies. We use it to reply to you, run the program, and measure our ads. We don't sell your information. You can ask us to delete it.
F.E.R.N.S. Method Coaching [LLC], a Delaware limited liability company, operates this website and the coaching program described on it. Contact: hello@fernsmethodcoaching.com.
This is a separate business from BME Therapy Associates, the licensed clinical practice. Information you give us here is not added to any clinical record, and clinical records are governed by that practice's own notice of privacy practices, not this policy.
Information you give us: your name and your partner's name, email address, phone number if you provide one, your state, and whatever you write in the application form, contact form, or emails to us. If you enroll, we also collect billing information (processed by our payment provider — we do not store full card numbers) and any notes you submit as part of the between-session practice.
Information collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited, referring URL, and time on page, gathered through cookies and similar technologies.
Information from advertising platforms: if you reach us from an ad, we may receive an identifier indicating which ad and campaign brought you here.
The application asks about your relationship, which means you may tell us things that feel personal. Please share only what you're comfortable sharing at this stage.
Coaching is not clinical care, so this information is not protected health information under HIPAA and does not carry therapist–patient privilege. We treat it as confidential as a matter of practice and policy, and we restrict access to Brian and Emily. See our disclaimer for the fuller explanation of that boundary.
We advertise on Meta platforms (Facebook and Instagram) and use the Meta pixel and conversions API on this website. These tools set cookies and send Meta information about your visit — including pages viewed and whether you submitted an application — so we can measure ad performance and show ads to relevant audiences. Meta processes that data under its own terms and policies.
We may also use website analytics for the same purpose. You can limit this by using your browser's cookie controls, your device's ad-tracking settings, or the opt-out tools offered by the advertising platforms themselves.
We do not sell your personal information. Depending on your state, some ad-related sharing may legally count as "sharing for targeted advertising" — you can opt out by writing to us at the address below.
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, each of whom has access to what they need and nothing more. Those currently include, or are expected to include:
We may also disclose information if required by law, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm.
Applications that don't lead to enrollment are kept for up to [12/24] months, then deleted. Client records are kept for [X] years after the program ends for business and tax purposes. You can ask us to delete sooner, subject to any legal obligation to retain.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, receive a portable copy, opt out of targeted advertising, and not be discriminated against for exercising any of these. Residents of California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Virginia and a number of other states have these rights by statute; we extend them to everyone who asks.

This service is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has given us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
We use reasonable safeguards, including access controls and reputable vendors, to protect your information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security.
